The box is of circular form with a raised design of a peacock with its tail spread out on the cover. The sides are decorated with cranes flying over stylized waves. There is a maker's mark to the base which is probably for Akagi of Nagoya.
11.5cm diameter, 5cm high
There is some light rubbing to the cover. The sides and the base have been heavily rubbed and the patination has been removed. Otherwise it is in good condition.
