A pair of blue and white candle-holders China, Qing Dynasty, mid 19th century

The candle-holders are of hexagonal form and have a circular open top with reticulated sides and are on tripod feet. They are decorated with sprays of bamboo in underglaze blue between each reticulated panel and with geometric bands of decoration.

11cm wide, 8.5cm high

Condition

One candle-holder has minor chips to the top of the hexagonal sides, but otherwise is in good condition. The other candle-holder has a firing crack to one reticulated panel and tiny firing cracks to one of the feet otherwise it is in good condition.
