The dish is of circular form with a central design of two peacocks amidst fungus, peony and chrysanthemum. The rim has a band of scrolling foliage with cartouches of birds, shrimp and fish. There is an empty double blue concentric ring to the base.

The dish has been previously damaged and restored with staples. The staples have been removed and it has been recently restored. The restoration of the dish, although significant, is not noticeable.
This is a very auspicious plate. Peacocks are a symbol of nobility. Fungus, peony and chrysanthemums are symbols of longevity and abundance.
