The dish is of circular form with a central design of a vase of flowers including narcissus, chrysanthemum, peony, pine and prunus flowers. There is a floral scrolling border.

There are some small nicks to the foot rim. There is some light rubbing to the gilt and to the enamels, otherwise it is in reasonably good condition.
The flowers of the prunus and pine are symbols of winter, the narcissus and peony are symbols of spring and the chrysanthemum is a perennial, which is added to any flower arrangement at any time of the year, as a group they symbolize the advent of the New Year.
