Anglo-Indian sadeli and sandalwood box India, Bombay Presidency, early 20th century

The box is of rectangular form decorated all over with sadeli micro-mosaic and with borders of ebony and ivory. The structure of the box is sandalwood with a lined interior and it stands on four metal feet.

Dimensions

30cm wide, 7cm high, 12cm deep

Condition

There are a few small losses to the sadeli; some of the ivory is a little loose. The lined interior is a little faded otherwise it is in good condition.
