In the 19th century in China plates were produced as a revival of the Kangxi famille verte style. For an example of a Kangxi plate see Christiaan J.A. Jorg, Famille Verte, 2011, Groninger Museum, catalogue numbers 60 and 71. These wares were so popular in the West that the firm of Samson of Paris began to produce high quality copies and revival pieces in the Chinese style.
