Of circular form with a gold interior, the exterior with a rich brown patina with silver plated hoop motifs, standing on a wood stand with seal mark to base.

There is some rubbing to the interior and minor rubbing to the exterior.
Kanaya Gorosaburo was a lineage of metal working artists dating back to the 16th century and onwards up to the present day. In the 20th century they were renowned for working in yellow bronze with a rich brown patina. This was probably the work of Kanaya Gorosaburo XIII who lived between 1901-1989.
